Service/Vacancy Details:
Our young persons project offers support to young people with a visual and/or hearing impairment between the ages of 0 and 19th birthday. This support is available in three main transitional areas: in accessing social leisure opportunities, education and employment. Our goal is to work towards better outcomes for every Young Person with a sensory impairment by trying to improve their general wellbeing. The benefits of involvement with the service are: Increase in Confidence: Improve self esteem; making choices; sharing experiences ; increase in coping and life skills; being informed; feeling less isolated; meeting new friends; improved access to education; being signposted to the right direction.
