| Service Description: | ‘‘Children enjoy learning in a bright and stimulating environment which encourages them to develop good social skills and work independently. There is an appropriate balance of adult led activities and those in which children can choose for themselves. Children move seamlessly between the two. Our Team:
“The teacher uses a range of observations (narrative, spontaneous and time sampling) to collect information on the child and uses this to plan next steps. Our staff are the most prominent factor in providing good quality day care education. Our staff receive regular training in Islamic and Academic education.
We have a strong commitment to training for staff at all levels.
Our staff are qualified to NVQ/QCF Level 2 and NVQ/QCF Level 3 as well as level 1 and 2 in early years degree. We are committed to professional development for our staff and thus training is ongoing to support in keeping up with any changes to the foundation stage framework.
Our enabling environment:
We use our specially designed Halaqah curriculum and the Foundation Stage framework for our 3-5 years olds. These documents provide guidance for our staff on the type of activities which we set up and these vary from day to day, according to the children’s needs and interests. Whilst learning through play, the children are encouraged to accomplish the '17 early learning goals' for all children approaching school age. Our areas and activities include:

Stimulating outdoor play and gardening area (which includes all indoor areas too)

Preparing your child for school:
Together we will work to fully prepare your child for the challenges of infant school. We will provide a safe, happy, play based environment in which your child can learn to socialize and gain independence outside the family, whilst maintaining their identity.
We will aim to;
Mould the Shakhsiyah i.e. personality of your child.
Prepare your child for the routine of a school day.
By close observation and continuous assessment, we can identify any special needs a child has so these can be addressed before they start school.
We encourage children to become independent and to help develop their social skills by communicating and sharing with others.
Partnership with Parents:
Parents are the most important people in a child’s life. They are the child’s first teachers they know more about the child than any teacher can ever know as they have cared and nurtured for their child from the very first day of their life. We know how vital it is that all our staff maintain a close personal link with the Parents. Therefore, we hope there will be many opportunities for both of us to establish and build such a partnership, for this reason we:
Give you sufficient time and opportunity for questions.
Provide your child with a gentle introduction to pre-school, so they settle in quickly.
Keep regular profiles and written reports on your child’s activities and progress and share these with you.
Provide invitation to social events.
Provide information to you on health issues, behaviour management and first aid either through articles or book lists.
May contact parents from time to time and ask for help and support in various ways, (e.g.
helping with fundraising, assisting on educational outings).
