Advice on dental health for children:
1. Adopt a healthy diet and cut the frequency and amount of sugary food and drinks
2. Brush children’s teeth twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste
3. Children are advised to visit the dentist at least once a year before 1 year old (map attached )

Community Dental Service:
• Some children with additional needs may need to be referred to the Community Dental Service. This could include:
• Children with physical or learning difficulties
• Children with complex medical needs
• Looked-after children
• Children with dental anxiety
