Free Early Learning for 2 year olds – For families receiving some additional forms of government support.

This website allows you to apply for Free Entitlement for 2 year olds for families receiving some additional forms of government support such as benefits or have a low income. It will also inform if you are eligible for the funding.

Details on the Eligibility Criteria for the two-year-old funding are listed on Barking and Dagenham website. 

This is not the application for Working Parents Childcare Support, please visit the Childcare Choices website for more information.

To apply for the funding and to find out if you are eligible, please complete these four easy steps:

1.Click on ‘Create Account’ at the top of this page. You will need your own email address to verify your account.

2. Then, click on ‘Log in’ at the top right hand side of this page.   

3. Complete the application in full providing information about yourself and your child.

4. Click on ‘Submit application’ at the bottom of the form.

For working families, early education and childcare support is changing.

• September 2024 - working parents of children aged 9 months to 3 years old can get up to 15 hours a week free education and childcare.
  
• September 2025 - working parents of 9 months to up to school age children can get up to 30 hours a week free education and childcare.

Families eligible from September 2024 will need to apply for their eligibility code now. Parents/Carers must receive their eligibility code before the 31st August to be able to access this entitlement.
