Service overview

Service Description:
Lambeth Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) provides free, impartial and confidential information about education, health and social care for children, young people, and their parents relating to special educational needs and disabilities. Every local authority in England must have an IASS (or SENDIASS). We are the IASS for the London borough of Lambeth.

The service can make parents aware of the local authority’s services for resolving disagreements, for mediation and on the routes of appeal and complaint matters related to SEN and disability.

The service will signpost parents where appropriate to alternative and additional sources of advice, information and support is available locally including the voluntary sector, housing support, careers advice , employment support, health and social care.

The service will offer individual casework and representation for those who need it.
