Our Mission: 
To empower young people to become the best that they can be, the butterflies they truly are, through positive role modeling, support, challenge, empowerment and unconditional care.

This will be accomplished by reinforcing the mental and psychological growth of the families and young people we engage, supporting them through training, social inclusion, education, and working with them to identify and obtain their goals.

Our Philosophy: 
The Youth Caterpillar Project sees young people as the butterflies they are becoming, rather than just as the caterpillars they are. Our work is driven by a belief that every young person has the potential and innate abilities to achieve and succeed in their goals, and the right to access free resources and support during this journey.

Our Definition of a Butterfly:
A Butterfly is an artistic, independent, and unique addition to our worlds. Butterflies come with various and unique colours and designs, all holding a sense of mysticism and beauty, and bringing joy to those whom they touch.

Each and every child has the capacity to grow into a butterfly, becoming independent, responsible and successful beings. Therefore, in failing to see the beauty in a caterpillar and encouraging its transition, we rob ourselves of the abundant creativity, art, and opportunities each butterfly contributes to our lives’ and world.
