Service Description:Way Forward Integration provides a Semi-Independent living accommodation, care, support and rehabilitation services to young people leaving care with MAPPA cases, those on remand, those in breach of their bail conditions and may be presenting to court, sexually harmful and sexualised behaviours, drugs and alcohol abuse, self-harm and suicidal tendencies, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health issues, border line personality disorder, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities etc.
When placing a young person within our 24 Hour Semi-Independent Living Accommodation, we take into consideration the following task to aid, build and maintain an independent living skill depending on the exact needs of the young person.
• Supervised food and grocery shopping
• Support with food preparation
• Administering money and budgetary skills
• Support with maintaining a clean safe environment
• Support with self harm reduction
• Managing Incidents
• Support with IT skills in the units training/library room
• Support with engaging with training, education and employment
• Support with attending leisure and health activities
• Support with reducing the use of harmful substances and alcohol abuse
• Support/Supervision on the reduction of sexualised and sexual harmful behaviour
• ASD Specific support to include travel training, SEN Education, access to sensory rooms etc
• Additional 24 Hour staffing, 1:1/2:1 etc
• Waking Nights Staffing
