Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Servelec takes a pro-active approach in relation to accessibility standards and recognises the importance of these standards in developing Synergy Web, so our product can be used effectively by as many people as possible. We use a range of accessibility tools, including Deque's Axe toolset, within our Software Development Life Cycle to ensure that all software development complies with the latest accessibility standards and users are able to access and interact with our product using a variety of methods such as screen readers.

In-line with the Government Accessibility Requirements, Servelec has focused on ensuring public facing Synergy websites adhere to the latest WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards out-of-the-box.
The accessibility guidance also covers Intranets & Extranets, which the Synergy Provider Portal falls under. In-line with this guidance, we are currently working to improve accessibility within the Provider Portal to ensure that as and when a major revision of the Provider Portal is completed, it adheres to the WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

CSS is used to control the presentation of all Synergy web-based modules. CSS is managed through the latest versions of Bootstrap 3 and Bootstrap 4, as part of our continued efforts to ensure that the latest web technologies are implemented. All CSS is validated against W3C CSS standards.

Synergy's web portal also provides the ability for Local Authorities to apply their own CSS overrides, to customise the look and feel of the websites and align with corporate styling as required.
Where customers have applied their own CSS styling, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that any styling overrides comply with W3C and WCAG standards.
