Emmanuel Community Church Nursery is situated just off the market in central Walthamstow, we are a local run preschool with a Christian ethos, seeking to serve our local community. We welcome children of all faiths and no faith to our caring and friendly nursery.
We have served the local community with preschool care and education for almost 40 years and have consistently been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We are continually looking to develop and improve our practice, to offer the children in our care the best possible start to their education: we believe in the importance of firm foundations upon which their school careers can be built.
We have had the privilege of serving hundreds of children and their families over the years from a range of cultures and backgrounds and with an equally diverse range of needs and abilities. We look forward to working with many more in the years ahead.

Emmanuel Community Church Nursery is an inclusive setting. We have worked with many children and their families over the years who have had additional needs. These have included learning difficulties, language impairment, global delay, speech delay, heart condition, hearing difficulties, Autistic spectrum disorder, serious allergies, emotional needs, asthma, severe dietary needs, eczema, sickle cell aneamia, social development impairment, epilepsy, challenging behaviour, cerebral palsy and Down’s Syndrome.
We work closely with families and other agencies to provide the best care and education possible. Our aim is always to meet the needs of each individual child in our care.
